Meet Matthew Hancock

Early Years Family Support Worker

"Working in the Family Hub Team as an Early Years Family Support Worker has enabled my passion for working with children, young people and families to flourish. My role is centred around children aged 0-5 and offering advice to support all areas of development. The role has allowed me to continue my passion for supporting children and their families. I find it a really fulfilling role knowing you're making a difference and supporting families."

"Working for Cumberland Council is not what I expected; I love that I'm not stuck in an office and I'm out and about working and supporting families. I find the council to be very flexible and really take into account employee's wellbeing. My team at the family hub are great and extremely supportive and we all share the same passion and enthusiasm for supporting children, young people and their families."
